"Faux Hawk" shed light on his psyche following the dismantling of the Titans. He's back, and ready to take down Deathstroke once and for all. It had to come together somehow, and it appears that Titans Season 2 Episode 13 will feature the deadly final battle between the two enemies. The pace of the recent installments has been way off, and this installment would have been better as a standalone one with Dick making his way back from the prison after escaping. The driving force for him right now is the knowledge that a part of Jericho is trapped inside his father's mind, but that leads me to question how he plans to get Jericho out of there. If there's one thing two Robins together should be able to figure out, it's how not to fall from tall structures. Bruce would be so annoyed at his wards. It would seem that Deathstroke, as bad as he is, has a legitimate grudge against Dick and the Titans. But what's annoying is the big gaps we still have in that backstory. The Titans have clearly engaged in some really ugly business that changed them all, but we no idea what happened. And at least Dawn, and maybe Donna, place some blame on Dick. Additionally, it appears Slade holds them all accountable for Jericho's death, and that Dick indeed manipulated the kid. But we don't see any of this. Despite last week's flashback, there is a lot that we should know about the past right now. Alan Ritchson in particular displays range as Hank flashes irritation at Jason for getting captured, at Dick, then fear and willingness to trade Rose for Jason.
Dick is now well on his way toward becoming Nightwing. And after piecing together the clues and realizing Jericho is still alive inside of Slade Wilson, he has a path to redemption. Even the fact that Raven and Starfire are the only two characters who agree to stick around long enough to rescue Dick can be taken as encouraging sign. Perhaps the series is finally recognizing that less is more when it comes to the main team roster. Though given that the title for Episode 12 suggests a very hawk and Dove story, it doesn't appear that any of the quitters are actually exiting the picture. It appears the series is positioning both Deathstroke and Cadmus as the twin threats leading into the finale. Both are worthy adversaries, with Slade as dangerous as ever despite holding the literal ghost of his son inside him and Cadmus showing just how far it's willing to go to exploit its captive heroes. Whether these twin storylines can truly come together as a cohesive whole by the finale remains to be seen, but at least Episode 11 is cause for renewed hope.

Breakout Plan and the Persistent Ostracism Back at Titans Tower, after viewing Conner's assault on the SFPD officers from Dick's Alienware laptop, Garfield "Gar" Logan (Ryan Potter) attempts to reach his mentor but to no avail, that is until Krypto reaches the building. Meanwhile, Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) is searching for Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), who is otherwise M. I. A. Donna tries reaching out to Dick. Rachel is in a homeless shelter and befriends a homeless youngster. At the Correctional Facility, Dick notices the fellow inmates are circling the entire perimeter of the courtyard for the easiest path to escape. One of them, Santos, notices Dick while playing dominoes with the others. Santos then questions Dick on whether or not he's spying on him, to which Dick denies. The crooked guard breaks up an incoming fight that could have erupted. He takes Dick to the side and opens up about the previous dealing he had with criminals as a teenager. He proceeds to goad Dick to let him in on information happening in the prison.
