My hands down favorite was the fourth one by David Slade called "This Way To Egress" it was like a mental twilight zone episode on another level!! Loved the way the movie was tied together, but wish there could have been more in the wrap-around story. Still a great horror film that delivers good quick stories and scary scenes. And don't get me wrong, Alejandro Brugue's entry was astounding and could've easily been expanded into its own full length feature, but it didn't really splice with the theme and the vibe that most of this film consisted of. Kitamura's "Mashit" was fast paced and, for the most part, more than makes up in visuals for the lack of substance and originality.

Nope. That's pretty much exactly what it is. How this managed to get into a theater — let alone get a MPAA rating — is beyond me. I have to assume someone called in a favor. None of the individual vignettes are worthwhile. A couple nearly approach "okay, " and a couple others are laughably bad. The wraparound story seems like a complete afterthought. Elizabeth Reaser puts in the strongest (if shortest) performance of any of the leads, though I'm still puzzled she's in this at all. For the other recognizable names, it's clearly a cynical cash grab. If you're really bored and this film has finally reached the price point for which it is destined (i. e. included with your standard subscription to Amazon Prime, Netflix or Hulu), by all means give it a watch. But don't make the mistake I made and actually pay to rent it.
