As we rest this night on the eve of Old Saint Basch's release and Vaan's return from the mines of mediocrity, I thought it'd be fitting to give a kind of overview of their parent game. Although FFXII is technically a more recent entry in the series, it's original release was more than 12 years ago (! ) in the states. At the time, FFVII was already considered a classic, retro game at only 9 years old. Now, FFXII was a behemoth of a game, and there's so much writing and characterization that DFFOO can't cram into its cameos. But because Dissidia is a celebration of the FF series, I thought it'd be nice to help get provide some interesting tidbits of information. FFXII 's setting: The Ivalice Alliance!
